Hi Vepa,
EKTS is a brilliant program, it’s straightforward and easy to use and it shows you exactly what is going in the circuit. Many learners need to see this to understand what is going on.
I tried ESS but it seemed more difficult to use, its harder to wire (a lot more difficult to get the little black dots to appear as the mouse passes over them) and seems to crash quite often. If EKTS had the same motor and component libraries as ESS and had the “snap to grid” (although this should really be an option) you would really be on a winner.
I am a 2nd year Systems Electrical Apprentice with ETSA Utilities in South Australia and I have shown this program to a number of my lecturers at Tafe (Trade School) and they all preferred EKTS over ESS.
As it is EKTS is still a fab program for designing and testing control circuits….it’s definitely the best one I have seen so far, and trust me I looked for months to find something easy and simple to use…..EKTS beats the others hands down.
My thanks go to you and Dr Hasan Erdal for coming up with this excellent program.
Best Regards
Geoff
